The River Hill Room, our boutique private area, is nestled towards the rear of our pub overlooking our beautiful garden. It lends itself perfectly to all manner of occasions, with a private outside space attached so guests can spill out into one of our two gorgeous gardens.
The room can be hired free of charge and has a maximum capacity of 20 for seated dining, with a capacity of up to 30 for more social events. Need a bigger space? Our French-doors open up to either the garden, or our upper bar area to gather more of your friends, family or colleagues for that special occasion.
The room is perfect for meetings, small wedding receptions or any kind of event.

Whilst we don’t have rooms, The Hand and Spear (a part of our Young’s family) does. Choose from 12 boutique bedrooms, and upgrade for a delicious breakfast in the morning (we hear it’s the perfect cure for an all-night kind of celebration). In a short 15-minute taxi drive, you’ll be transported to cosy-and-dreamy rooms to rest your head.
